The Parting Glass…

June 2025, without much fanfare or hubbub, marks 13 years of Fantastic Voyage Improv. We’ve chosen to not make a big deal about it this year, and instead focus on growing audiences at our shows, and on things we think are important in the community.

But we think a quick recap is in order.

Over the past 13 years we’ve seen venues come and go, we’ve welcomed new performers onto our stage, and seen some leave to pursue their own paths.
During the pandemic we were among the first in the world to do remote improv, and for 63 weeks straight we pushed that platform into previously unrealized areas.
We’ve done ridiculous and unexpected things in many locations around the Twin Cities. We’ve also done some very poignant, raw, and emotional things. Always striving to meet where we believe REAL can be found, at the intersection of Stupid Street and Smart Boulevard.
The constant through it all, the one thing we could always count on, was that our audience would be there to challenge us. And in exchange we’ve tried to reward your loyalty with respect, sometimes at the expense of our own dignity.
In short; we’re just doing what we love, but it’s a whole lot more fun with you watching.
Thanks for the past 13 years, and here’s to 13 more!
