Back for 2025!
March to the stage 2024 was a huge success so we’re bringing it back this year! This year we’ll have an actual way to determine a third place winner.
Like you, we also realize that Facebook is trash right now. Here’s our statement about why we’re still using it.
What even is it??
A chance for you to show off your wit to the world on our Facebook page.
We’ll begin with 16 of our funniest fans. Each week they’ll compete by participating in Tagline Tuesday and Frisky Friday posts on our Facebook page. Viewer reactions to their jokes become their score for the week!
How does it work??
FVI will invite 16 of our top fans to compete head-to-head with each other starting the first week of March. They’ll comment on our Tagline Tuesday and Frisky Friday posts. They write as many jokes as they’d like, and we’ll count their highest scoring joke for each day. Everyone else will vote on their favorite jokes using the Facebook reaction buttons. Every reaction is a vote!
Voting will end on Saturday at 10 pm, when we’ll add up the scores for the week. The higher score moves on to compete the next week.
What will we win??
Everyone who competes will get bragging rights for being one of FVI’s funniest fans!
The top four finalists will all receive fabulous gifts!

In the event of a tie, the participants next highest scoring posts will be added. Should that remain a tie, the 3rd highest scoring posts will be added. Then 4th, 5th, etc if we need to.
Hopefully we won’t.

How do I participate??
If you’d like to be one of the 16 competitors, send us an email or message us on Facebook. Competitors will be chosen and notified by the last week in February.
If you’d like to vote, simply watch our Facebook page every Tuesday and Friday in March for the Tagline Tuesday and Frisky Friday posts, react to the jokes you like (or dislike, every reaction counts as a vote), and add your own jokes to show the world how much better you are than the competitors!
What’s the fine print??
No purchase necessary. Odds of winning haven’t been computed because we’re not “math people”, we’re just improvisors. Contest is void for current and former FVI troupe members, residents of The Netherlands, and anyone named Elon. Side effects may include uncontrollable laughter, euphoria, and a sense of community. Ask your doctor if UnProv is right for you.

Initial bracket match-ups will be chosen at random from the list of participants.

**Round B (Frisky Friday) = Sex With Me Is Like…
Every reaction to one of your jokes counts as one vote. At the end of that week’s contest your total votes for your single HIGHEST scoring joke from each round will be added together to determine your weekly score.
During week 4 the top two participants from week 3 will compete for 1st and 2nd places. The bottom two participants from week 3 will compete for 3rd and 4th places.
Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to vote on their jokes.
The participant with the higher score of the two match-ups will move on to the next round.
Eliminated participants are encouraged to continue crafting jokes and voting in the remaining rounds.
Winner will be announced on the FVI Facebook page on Sunday March 30, 2025.
Remember, this contest is for fun. Participants are encouraged to act in a manner befitting of the spirit of improv, and support your “scene partners”. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by the FVI admin team may result in forfeiture of participant eligibility, or cancellation of the contest entirely.
