MTTS 2026 – General Statement

We began March To The Stage in 2024 as a way to showcase our fans’ talents, and to help promote Fantastic Voyage. We thought it was a wild success. We plan to do this contest for as many years as we have fans interested in doing it.

Not only is Zuck continuing to tank his own platform, but all of social media is being infiltrated by fascist bots.

We understand that Facebook isn’t the same place this year as it was last year. A lot of people are leaving Meta – for very good reasons. We support those reasons, but this leaves us in a weird place.

The truth is, FVI is a small group with limited resources. This isn’t any of our full-time jobs. While we do believe in paying our artists in a time when we need art and comedy the most, this is primarily something we do to have fun with our friends. None of us have the time to redesign the contest to work on a new platform. So we’re stuck.

We will be moving forward with the Facebook version of the contest again this year, and we’re hoping you’ll play along with us.

For the past two years, all the participants worked together to make the contest comments a safe, fun, supportive place. We’re sure that will happen again this year. Rest assured that our admins will be watching the comments closely and will take the necessary steps make sure our comment sections on this, and all of our posts, remain a place for all.

We believe in voting with our dollars, so another part of the plan is to limit the amount of money Meta receives from us. We’ve already stopped paying to promote the Facebook events for our monthly shows. We’re also promising not to pay to promote MTTS 2026 on any Meta platform.

As far as the future of MTTS goes; it’s hard to say what the internet will be like in a week, let alone a whole year. We truly enjoy running this contest, and we hope you all enjoy participating. We’ll keep looking for ways to improve, and thank you in advance for your patience while we learn.

We have activated the comments section on this page because we think it’s important to listen to our community. We welcome helpful comments or thoughts below.
