Get To Know: Eli

A person laughing while sitting by a river with misty surroundings and lush greenery in the background.

In his day job, Eli works as a mailman, carrying packages. On stage, he’s been known to hoist the show onto his shoulders and carry us to places we couldn’t even imagine. He fearlessly embraces the spirit of “Yes, and…”, and we love having him be a part of our lives.

How long have you been with FVI?

I have been with FVI since 2017 with an extended absence because of my work schedule in 2018. Once my schedule cleared up in 2022 I joyfully returned to the cast.

Your day job is a mailman. Do you have any fun stories from your time out in the neighborhoods?

In my time as a mailman I have experienced quite a bit, such as petting dogs only to have their owners comment on how surprised they are that the dog hasn’t bitten me yet, and delivering everything including a kitchen sink!

If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could have a lifetime supply of anything I would have to choose a rotating menu of curry.  I love curry and could absolutely eat it every day, even if my digestive tract may not always agree with me.

Where else can people find you?

You can find me hiking with my dog, annoying my beautiful wife, playing games online with friends, and on YouTube with Table of Fables DND.

Stuff you might want to know

FVI on Patreon

A great way to support our troupe, other than coming to see our shows, it to become a Patreon supporter.
Your monthly $5 contribution helps us keep our gear in shape, pay advertising and website maintenance costs, and pay our performers for their time and talents.

To say thanks to our supporters, they receive a $5 discount to all FVI ticketed shows! If you come to both shows in a month you’ll get $10 in benefits!
Broken Clock members also get $5 off of our shows there! And you can stack those discounts! That’s right! For those that are both Broken Clock members and Patreon supporters, your admission to Broken Clock shows is… ZERO DOLLARS! We’re just giving it away here!

FVI on YouTube

Most of our shows (barring technical difficulties) get posted to our YouTube channel. However, the Uncensored part of UnProv isn’t always appreciated by YouTube. They like to demonetize channels that swear, but we’re not scared! We don’t have enough subscribers to be monetized in the first place!
Subscribe to our channel and help us get demonetized!

Clover Club Jazz

A man in a black suit plays an acoustic guitar while seated on a gray couch, looking intently off to the side. A woman wearing a black dress stands next to him, gazing confidently at the camera in a well-lit, stylish interior.

Clover Club, the Minneapolis jazz duo featuring vocalist Victoria Temiz and guitarist Carl Johnson, brings a fresh yet authentically jazzy sound to the scene. Their repertoire, deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, echoes the intimate, laid-back style of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, with a twist.

The Parting Glass…

For many of us, and likely many of you as well, 2026 has started off pretty rough.

It’s important to remember, whenever possible, to be kind. Which doesn’t always mean being nice.

In this video, the wonderful Trevor Noah does a great job breaking down the difference between the two.

Watch, enjoy, then go live your lives with all the kindness you can muster.
