Look, we get it. Mondays are hard. Let’s make them less hard by laughing together!

Remember the magic of an unplanned day off school? We’ll try to recreate that, but with beer.

Our next show at Padraig’s Brewing is on Wednesday February 4 at 7pm!

This is NOT one for the birds!

Get To Know: Eli

In his day job, Eli works as a mailman, carrying packages. On stage, he’s been known to hoist the show onto his shoulders and carry us to places we couldn’t even imagine. He fearlessly embraces the spirit of “Yes, and…”, and we love having him be a part of our lives.
How long have you been with FVI?
I have been with FVI since 2017 with an extended absence because of my work schedule in 2018. Once my schedule cleared up in 2022 I joyfully returned to the cast.
Your day job is a mailman. Do you have any fun stories from your time out in the neighborhoods?
In my time as a mailman I have experienced quite a bit, such as petting dogs only to have their owners comment on how surprised they are that the dog hasn’t bitten me yet, and delivering everything including a kitchen sink!
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I could have a lifetime supply of anything I would have to choose a rotating menu of curry. I love curry and could absolutely eat it every day, even if my digestive tract may not always agree with me.
Where else can people find you?
You can find me hiking with my dog, annoying my beautiful wife, playing games online with friends, and on YouTube with Table of Fables DND.
Stuff you might want to know
FVI on Patreon
A great way to support our troupe, other than coming to see our shows, it to become a Patreon supporter.
Your monthly $5 contribution helps us keep our gear in shape, pay advertising and website maintenance costs, and pay our performers for their time and talents.
To say thanks to our supporters, they receive a $5 discount to all FVI ticketed shows! If you come to both shows in a month you’ll get $10 in benefits!
Broken Clock members also get $5 off of our shows there! And you can stack those discounts! That’s right! For those that are both Broken Clock members and Patreon supporters, your admission to Broken Clock shows is… ZERO DOLLARS! We’re just giving it away here!
FVI on YouTube
Most of our shows (barring technical difficulties) get posted to our YouTube channel. However, the Uncensored part of UnProv isn’t always appreciated by YouTube. They like to demonetize channels that swear, but we’re not scared! We don’t have enough subscribers to be monetized in the first place!
Subscribe to our channel and help us get demonetized!
Other Things Going On
Jester’s Comedy Improv
Jesters is pulling double duty this Valentine’s Day, with two great shows on February 14.
At Torg Brewery they’ll be hosting a Not-Necessarily Newlywed game, where audience participants can play with local “celebrities” to win fabulous prizes.
They’re also continuing a Jester’s Valentine’s Day tradition. They’ve been invited back to perform at the Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls, WI. Your ticket includes dinner! Learn more and get tickets HERE!
More upcoming shows:
December 19 at 9 Mile Brewing
December 26 at Torg Brewery – The Boxing Day Show
January 8 – New Hope Cinema Grill
Check out their socials for more information!
ComedySportz Twin Cities
ComedySportz is improvised comedy played like a sport. Two teams of actors create short games and scenes, based on audience suggestions, to earn points and laughs! This show is rated E for everyone!
This year they’re expanding their schedule! Every 2nd & 4th Friday and Saturday of the month at Strike Theater. Shows start at 7:30. Get tickets and learn more on their website!
Good Camel Comedy Theater
From gut-busting stand-up to fearless improv and boundary-pushing storytelling, Good Camel Comedy Theater curates events that speak truth to power—through laughter. We spotlight BIPOC artists, queer voices, and bold perspectives that don’t always get a mic in traditional spaces.
They have shows that range from monthly jams and comedy festivals to one-night-only performances, workshops, and experimental pop-ups that blend humor with community-building and social commentary.
Learn more and find out what they have going on at their website.
Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative

Lots of people give up drinking in January, but that’s no reason to stop hanging out with friends. This year, Broken Clock is combing Dry January with a membership drive, called DryVe January!
It’s a great time to stop in, learn more about how a cooperative taproom works, and become a member! Learn more at the Broken Clock website or in the taproom!
Padraigs Brewing
Live music and food trucks every Friday and Saturday night, and great beer every night of the week. Now serving food too!
Do you love trivia, but sometimes need a little prompt to get your brain working? Then the Initials Game might be right for you. It’s trivia with hints! It’s super fun, and played in Padraig’s taproom every Wednesday starting at 7pm
Visit their events page for more information about the great things going on in the taproom.
Cyn City Tours
Cyn City Tours is the official tour company of the St. Paul Winter Carnival! They have tours every day of this year’s carnival.

So many great tours to choose from. Check descriptions and get tickets HERE.
Minneapolis Commodores
Did you miss their Holiday Concert on Saturday December 13 at Minnehaha Academy? Or did you go and wish you could watch it again?
They’ve posted the video to their YouTube channel! Gather your family, make some cocoa, and nestle in for an unforgettable show.
Learn more about them at their website.
Clover Club Jazz

Clover Club, the Minneapolis jazz duo featuring vocalist Victoria Temiz and guitarist Carl Johnson, brings a fresh yet authentically jazzy sound to the scene. Their repertoire, deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, echoes the intimate, laid-back style of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, with a twist.
See them at Troubadour wine bar:
- Friday January 16
- Friday February 6
- Friday March 20
825 Arts
A brand new sketch comedy group is about to hit 825 Arts! Maxxeapolis is Minneapolis, but BIGGER. Formed by two self-proclaimed “sketch comedy freaks” with decades of sketch writing, directing, performing, and producing between them this crew features the BEST of the best writers and performers the Twin Cities have to offer.
This show happens on January 24 at 7:30. Recommended 18+. Tickets and more information can be found HERE!

The Parting Glass…
For many of us, and likely many of you as well, 2026 has started off pretty rough.
It’s important to remember, whenever possible, to be kind. Which doesn’t always mean being nice.
In this video, the wonderful Trevor Noah does a great job breaking down the difference between the two.
Watch, enjoy, then go live your lives with all the kindness you can muster.
