Stuff you might want to know

FVI on Patreon

A great way to support our troupe, other than coming to see our shows, it to become a Patreon supporter.
Your monthly $5 contribution helps us keep our gear in shape, pay advertising and website maintenance costs, and pay our performers for their time and talents.

To say thanks to our supporters, they receive a $5 discount to all FVI ticketed shows! If you come to both shows in a month you’ll get $10 in benefits!
Broken Clock members also get $5 off of our shows there! And you can stack those discounts! That’s right! For those that are both Broken Clock members and Patreon supporters, your admission to Broken Clock shows is… ZERO DOLLARS! We’re just giving it away here!

FVI on YouTube

Most of our shows (barring technical difficulties) get posted to our YouTube channel. However, the Uncensored part of UnProv isn’t always appreciated by YouTube. They like to demonetize channels that swear, but we’re not scared! We don’t have enough subscribers to be monetized in the first place!
Subscribe to our channel and help us get demonetized!

Clover Club, the Minneapolis jazz duo featuring vocalist Victoria Temiz and guitarist Carl Johnson, brings a fresh yet authentically jazzy sound to the scene. Their repertoire, deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, echoes the intimate, laid-back style of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, with a twist.

The Parting Glass…

In this month’s video, John Cleese discusses the fear of making a mistake, and how it can paralyze even the most seasoned professional.

Even though most of us at FVI have been doing this for a lot of years, we still occasionally struggle with fear creeping in. We maintain an environment within the troupe that nothing we do is “wrong”, so there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Like Mr. Cleese says in this video, “You cannot be playful if you’re frightened that moving in some direction will be wrong.”

This is wonderfully freeing, both on stage and off.

I hope you can find motivation to apply this in your life as well. Fear of danger is healthy, fear of fun is paralyzing.
